Obsessed..

I haven't been doing anything crazy that I feel everyone would care about to hear, so this is going to be a fun little blog. I am obsessed with my phone and apps! Yes, that makes me sound like a real winner huh? But honestly, I love games and I love being able to play against my family and friends even though I am not around them. My family is quite competitive so it always makes for fun conversation. Right now, I enjoy Dice with Buddies, Bubble Galaxy, Fun Run and my newest obsession Ruzzle! For any of you that have not played these, you really should try them out! My brother has introduced me to most of them so beating him always makes me excited! He is very good at most of them and I got my first Ruzzle win today against him! (Yes, this is my awesome life) Sorry this blog isn't very exciting, but just wanted everyone to be able to enjoy these fun apps!! If you have any good ones..let me know!!

A Quarter of a Century!

That's right..I turned the big 25 this weekend and I loved it! In my family, birthdays have always been a big deal. We get birthdays, birthday weeks, and birthday months! Now as our family is growing, I have had to share my birthday month with Erin, but he is much more mature than me and lets me pretty much have it :) Thanks!
My birthday weekend started by going to pick up my good friend Andrea at the airport! Keith had arranged to fly her in for the weekend and she agreed! We enjoyed Friday night, having dinner and catching up with our lives of the last month. Saturday we got up and enjoyed a nice pedicure before heading to the ULM basketball game. Being that my birthday is in January, I am used to being at or playing basketball on my birthday. It was an afternoon game which let us have a great night ahead! We met friends down at a restaurant called Portico. It was awesome to have so many people come and help celebrate! We ended the night at a country bar, which was a great time, the South has a whole new meaning to country! Sunday was my actual birthday, and after receiving a text from my entire family at 12:00am, I knew my birthday was already complete! We enjoyed a nice relaxed day of getting Andrea back to the airport (sad to say goodbye) cooking dinner together, and watching movies!
It was a great birthday weekend and so happy I got to spend it with such great people!! Until next year, now I can say happy birthday month Erin!!

365 Days

As we begin a new year, I would like to reflect on some of the best happenings that 2012 brought me. There are many things that have happened in the last year, and I am sure that I will forget many, but atleast this gives you an idea of what the last 365 days have been like in my life!

January: I turned 24 and started the year off another year older. I am suspecting that after this year I will stop getting as excited for my birthday considering I am starting to actually get old, but until then, I will still count down until the 13th and make sure everyone knows it is my birthday month and week!  I at this time lived in Hutchinson Ks, and was supporting a lot of Hutch community college women's basketball games!

February: Mainly I did a lot of traveling and watching basketball.  I enjoy being at all the games wherever Keith is at and being able to cheer on his teams. I was also able to get back to MNU and watch my brother's team play.

March: This month was exciting! Not only more basketball, but a regional championship and a National Runner up came to the Hutchinson Lady Blue Dragons. During this time, we had a true blessing become a part of our family. Baby Reese was born and joined older brother Cade and parents Matt and Jana to this world. She is a doll and one of the most perfect babies I have ever seen!

April: Keith turned another year older ( I wont mention how old he is getting) :) and we were able to head up to KC to enjoy a Royals baseball game with many friends.  It was a relaxing trip that didn't deal with watching any basketball!

May: What a relaxing month! I did not have much of anything going on and it was so nice to be able to just hang out and return home to see family and friends whenever I needed/wanted to go back.

June: I found out in June that Keith would be taking a new job in Monroe, Louisiana. Of course at the time, I thought this was the end of all time. I had no idea where to go or what I was supposed to do! He did a lot of recruiting and we enjoyed his last couple weeks in Kansas. We enjoyed playing (or trying to play) lots of golf!!

July: We started off with a bang (clever, huh?) with a 4th of July party back home with many of our friends. It also counted as a going away party for Keith, as we moved him down to ULM the following week. I spent a lot of time back home between work and the weekends. At the end of July, Cindy, Lukas and I got to make a trip to Omaha and enjoy a great couple days with Christy. We had so much fun just getting to hang out as sisters again all together.

August: School and basketball had started for Keith, and I was continuing to live in Hutch. I had met some great people there and enjoyed having BBQs and co ed softball games every week!

Septemeber: This was the first time I was able to go see Keith and I flew down over Labor Day weekend to spend some time with him. I set up two places I wanted to visit with, just to see if maybe someday I could see myself down there.  As you know by now, I got offered a job and I was heading South.

October: I moved! I took a new job at Broussard Eye Institute and hit the ground running.  I got to meet a lot of Keith's friends and started making relationships for myself. I had a lot to get used to and started way behind. Keith was busy as the 2012-2013 season had begun. My parents were able to join us down in Monroe for a great weekend away! October also brought another little bundle of joy! Lawson Beck was born into the loving family of Erin, Cindy, and Lukas. He is so much fun to see and watch grow as well as watching Lukas "take care of him".

November: so many things to be thanful for! I was starting to feel more comfortable around Monroe and traveled to Dallas for the first basketball game, as well as the TCU vs KSU football game where I met up with lots of friends to enjoy this time. I was able to fly back for Thanksgiving and spend time with a lot of family.

December: I had been waiting for this month for awhile! I didn't work much and I did a lot of vacationing! I went to Hawaii and enjoyed a nice beach week! I returned home to the rest of my family and had a great Christmas! I saw many people and enjoyed the relaxing time.  We also had a great time ending 2012 with some great people! Happy New Year!

As I look back on this year, I am so thankful for who and what I have in my life! I have had many wonderful opportunities and blesssings!  Thank you all who were apart of helping me get through this year and look forward as to what is to come!

**I know this technically goes into 2013, BUT my sister Christy was proposed to on New Year's to an amazing guy that we are all very excited to be joining our family! Many plans to come in the next couple months!! Congrats guys!!
